Nonprofit Grants - Orange County/Palos Verdes

Project/Program Criteria
Recipients will be selected by considering a number of factors, including the following criteria:

How well does the project align with the Cox Charities focus areas.

The overall significance of the project, i.e. long-term objectives, community impact.

The proposal clearly explains what makes this program unique.
-
The degree to which the project and our partnership will be promoted to key stakeholders and the general community.

The ability to define clear metrics for success.
To optimize our impact, we generally do not support:

Animal welfare

Arts & Culture

Capital expenditures (i.e. purchase of computers, tablets, etc)

Events (i.e. galas, walks/runs)

Health & Wellness (i.e. disease prevention, health related missions)

Scholarship funds
-
Foundations
-
Specific individuals
-
Labor or fraternal organizations
-
Organizations that discriminate
-
Non 501(c)3 designated organizations

Recreational sports teams and clubs
-
Religious or political promotion
-
Travel

Grant Process:

Requests for up to $5,000 will be considered.

All applications will be reviewed by the Cox Charities Advisory Board.

Nonprofits will be notified in Fall.
